Agger is a village in Thy in northwest Denmark . It is assigned to the municipality of Thisted and belongs to Vestervig by post .
location
Agger is located directly on the North Sea at the northern end of the Agger Tange , the northern bank of the western entrance to the Limfjord . The Agger Tange is a bird sanctuary that is more than eight kilometers long and lined with dunes on the lake side. It separates the North Sea from Nissum Bredning , the southwestern part of the Limfjord. At the northern end of Nissum Bredning , in the Krig Vig bay , is the small port of Agger, which is mainly home to fishing boats. The port bears witness to Agger's past as a fishing village. In the north, Agger is bordered by the freshwater lake Flade Sø , which gives the place the character of a peninsula. Today tourism dominates the economy.
traffic
One with the Railways Act of 8 May 1894 proposed railway line from Hurup where connection to the railway line Thisted-Struer would have existed, was never built.
