Aguas Blancas (White Waters) is a place in northwest Argentina . It belongs to the Orán department in the province of Salta and is located on the Río Bermejo in close proximity to the eastern Bolivian city of Bermejo . In 2001 the place had 1,400 inhabitants.
Aguas Blancas is connected to the north by the bridge "Puente Internacional Aguas Blancas - Bermejo" with the Bolivian highway Ruta 1 , which crosses the entire Bolivian Altiplano with the metropolises Tarija , Potosí , Oruro and El Alto from south to north and on Lake Titicaca reached the Peruvian border.
To the south, the Argentine Ruta Nacional 50 leads to San Ramón de la Nueva Orán and Pichanal and to the west, the Ruta Provincial 19.
