Agustín García Íñiguez , known by his first name Agus (born May 3, 1985 in Bonete ), is a Spanish football player .

Career

Agus began his professional career in 2004 with the Spanish second division club Albacete Balompié . When he first appeared for Albacete's first team on matchday 32 of the 2004/05 season, he was already in the field of vision of Real Madrid . With the aim of getting stakes in the first team of the Madrilenians, Agus moved to the Spanish capital in 2005 for a transfer fee of 600,000 euros. He quickly became a regular in the second team, which confidently achieved relegation in the Segunda División . But in his first and second year in Madrid he failed to make the leap into the first team. When Real Madrid B was relegated to Segunda División B in the 2006/07 season, he and Adrián González were loaned to Celta Vigo for the 2007/08 season in order to continue to collect match practice at a high level and yet make the leap into the to create Real Madrid's first team. In August 2009, however, Agus moved to the second division club FC Córdoba .

After spending the 2011/12 season at AD Alcorcón , he moved to Orduspor in the Turkish Süper Lig in summer 2012 . This was followed by positions at home at RCD Mallorca and again at Albacete Balompié before he moved to the USA to Houston Dynamo and the Rio Grande Valley Toros . From 2017 to the beginning of 2019 he then played for Esbjerg fB in Denmark

Since January 7, 2019, he has been under contract with first division club Nea Salamis Famagusta in Cyprus .
