The Aiguille de Rochefort is a 4001  m high mountain between Dent du Géant and Dôme de Rochefort in the massif of the Grandes Jorasses . It is located on the border between France and Italy in the Mont Blanc group . The notch height is 106 meters to the Dôme de Rochefort and the dominance is 0.6 kilometers to the Dent du Géant. The first ascent took place on August 14, 1873 by Alphonse Payot , Michel-Clément Payot and J. Eccles.

The overall difficulty is rated as fairly difficult (ZS) today and II for climbing .
