Yoel García Luis (born November 25, 1973 in Nueva Gerona ) is a former Cuban triple jumper .
His greatest successes were the gold medal at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in 1997 in Paris , the silver medal at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and the bronze medal at the 1995 Pan American Games in Mar del Plata .
He also finished fifth at the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 and fourth in Edmonton in 2001 . In 1997 in Athens and 1999 in Seville , he missed the final, as well as the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta .
In 1999 he became the Cuban triple jump champion for the only time in his career.
Yoel García had a competition weight of 83 kg with a height of 1.82 m.
