Aimé-Joseph de Fleuriau (born January 24, 1870 in La Rochelle , † January 19, 1938 in Ismailia ) was a French diplomat.

Life

Aimé Joseph de Fleuriau was born the son of Louis-Aimé de Fleuriau (1827-1891) and his wife Marie Magnan in La Rochelle. He studied law and political science at the University of Paris . He then became a diplomat, more precisely third class secretary in Constantinople and later in London . In London he was finally appointed second class secretary in April 1902 and first class secretary in December 1908.

He was the French ambassador to Beijing between 1921 and 1924 and the French ambassador to London from 1924 to 1933. After his death in Ismailia on January 19, 1938 , The Times wrote an obituary for him. This was published on January 21st.

He married Pauline Bardac on April 17, 1900.
