Since 2004, Watson has mainly participated in the Cross-Country Skiing Australia / New Zealand Cup . She has won two victories so far and came second in the overall ranking in 2008 , 2010 and 2016 . She ran her first World Cup race in February 2008 in Liberec , which she finished with 65th place in the 7.6 km freestyle. In January 2009 she achieved her best individual World Cup result so far with 36th place in the 15 km skiathlon race . Her best result at the 2009 Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec was 52nd in the 30 km mass start race. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme , she reached 65th place in the skiathlon. She finished 54th in the 30 km mass start race and 63rd place over 10 km classic at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun in 2015 , she achieved 54th place in the 10 km freestyle, 53rd place in the skiathlon and 14th place with the relay. In February 2017 she got her first World Cup points in Pyeongchang with the 27th place in the skiathlon. Her best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti were 44th place in the skiathlon and 15th place with the relay. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, she finished 68th in the 10 km freestyle and 58th in the sprint.
