The 1997 Air Canada Cup was the first ever Danish Ice Hockey Cup . The cup competition was organized by the Danish Ice Hockey Federation.

Participant and mode

For participation in the cup in 1997, the two best-placed teams from the Danish regions Jutland and Sjælland qualified after the first half of the Elite Series . The games took place in a simple knockout mode. The total of three games were carried out on December 29 and 30, 1997 in the Rødovre Skøjte Arena .
