The Air Canada Cup 2000 was the third edition of the Danish Ice Hockey Cup since 1997 . The cup competition was organized by the Danish Ice Hockey Federation.
Participant and mode
The first four teams of Codan Ligaen , the first Danish league, qualified for participation in the cup in 2000 . The games took place in a simple knockout mode.

Semifinals
While Rungsted IK reached the final very easily, Frederikshavn saw Herning IK close to 4: 4 after a 4-0 start when Ronny Larsen scored two goals in a double power play in the last three minutes. After a goalless extra time, went to the shootout , in which Lars Mølgaard , Ilya Dubkow and Karel Šmíd shot Frederikshavn finals.

The Rungsted Ishockey Klubben won the Air Canada Cup 2000 through Dennis Olsson , the last-minute scorer of the winning goal, and above all through goalkeeper Anders Högberg .
Awards
- The best Danish player was Søren True (Rungsted IK).
- The best foreign player was Anders Högberg (Rungsted IK).
