AirKenya Express ( branded Airkenya ) is a Kenyan airline based in Nairobi and based at Nairobi Wilson International Airport . It went in 2007 from the renaming of Airkenya Aviation Ltd. emerged.
history
The origins of the company can be found in Wilkenair, which was founded in 1966 and renamed Air Kenya in 1970 and offered regional flight services. Through the merger with Sunbird Aviation, Airkenya Aviation was created in 1987, which in 2007 became AirKenya Express Ltd. was renamed.
Destinations
Airkenya Express primarily serves Kenyan tourist destinations . There are also flights to Kilimanjaro Airport in neighboring Tanzania .
