JetLink Express was a Kenyan airline based in Nairobi and based at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport .
history
The company was registered as a Limited Company in Kenya in March 2006 and was a member of IATA . JetLink Express began commercial flight operations in 2005 with flights from the city of Juba in South Sudan .
The company ceased operations in November 2012 for financial reasons.
Destinations
From its base at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, JetLink Express served the Kenyan cities of Eldoret , Kisumu and Mombasa as well as various international destinations such as Bujumbura in Burundi , Goma in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Khartoum in Sudan .

Incidents
- On November 12, 2009 there was an accident on the RwandAir Express flight WB205 at Kigali airport with one death and five injured. The Bombardier CRJ100 with the registration number 5Y-JLD took off as scheduled from Kigali Airport in the direction of Entebbe at 12:40 p.m. local time with ten passengers and five crew members on board. Two minutes after take-off, the master requested permission to return to the airport due to technical problems with a jammed thrust lever . The plane landed safely and taxied to the gate . While the ground crew the chocks wanted to install accelerated the plane suddenly veered right and slammed into the eastern wall of about 500 meters away VIP - terminals . The resulting fire could be extinguished quickly. Eight passengers and the five crew members were taken to the hospital, and one female passenger died in the hospital. A member of the cockpit crew consisting of two pilots and a flight engineer could only be released after three hours (see also RwandAir flight 205 ) .
