The Akaflieg Munich Mü 2 "Münchner Kindl" was a glider of the student flying group Akaflieg Munich .

history

At the Rhön competition on the Wasserkuppe in 1926, the students of Akaflieg Munich were able to compete for the first time with their own aircraft, the Mü 2 "Münchner Kindl". However, the plane retired early due to technical problems. At the next Rhön competition in 1927, the students were more successful and were able to take home the altitude prize (2050 meters) and the prize for the longest total flight time (1:39 hours).
