al-Mokawloon al-Arab Sporting Club ( Arabic نادي المق اولون العرب الرياضي, DMG Nādī al-Muqāwilūn al-ʿarab ar-riyāḍī ), also known as Arab Contractors Sporting Club or Al Mokawloon for short among the locals, is an Egyptian sports club based in Nasr City , Cairo . The club was founded in 1973 by the Egyptian engineer, building contractor, entrepreneur and politician Osman Ahmed Osman as the official sports club for his company, the Arab Contractors . The club is best known for its soccer team, which currently plays in the Egyptian Premier League , the highest division in the Egyptian soccer league system.
The club has produced some of the most famous and talented players in Egypt over the years, including Mohamed Salah , Mohamed Elneny and Abdel Sattar Sabry .

In the 1980s, Al Mokawloon was among the best teams in Africa . The association was at this time twice in a row the African Cup Winners 'Cup win (1982.1983), which similar to the European competition UEFA Cup Winners' Cup was.
