Alain Fauré

Alain Fauré (born October 1, 1962 in Pamiers , † July 12, 2018 in Les Pujols ) was a French politician . He was a member of the National Assembly from 2012 to 2017 .

Fauré grew up in Les Pujols in the Ariège department before studying social sciences in Toulouse . After his military service, which he did in Auch , he worked for the Sagem company . He then worked for Xerox for 16 years . In 1989 he was elected to the municipal council of Les Pujols and in 1995 he was promoted to deputy mayor of the municipality. In 2001 he was elected first mayor. In the parliamentary elections in 2007 , he ran as deputy to Henri Nayrou , who successfully ran for a seat in parliament in the second constituency of the Ariège department. Fauré himself became a candidate in this constituency in the following elections in 2012 and entered the National Assembly for the Parti socialiste .
