Alain Lambert (writer)
Alain Lambert (born February 9, 1931 in Étaples ; died May 9, 2008 in Menton ) was a French writer and cellist.
Life
Lambert's family comes from Brittany , he attended school in Caen . He trained as a cellist with Maurice Maréchal at the Paris Conservatory and as a chamber musician with the pianist Jacques Février and the violinist Joseph Calvet . He played in the Pro Arte Quintet in Monte-Carlo. Lambert was briefly engaged in the Orchester national de Lille in 1975 and then played as a cellist in the Orchester philharmonique de Monte-Carlo until 1997 .
Lambert published a large number of small volumes of poetry, furnished by different artists, as well as some volumes of prose. In 1974 he represented the Principauté de Monaco at the Literature Biennale in Knokke-Heist , and later also in Liège . He was a member of the jury of the Prix Antonin-Artaud .
Lambert wrote a biography of his teacher Maurice Maréchal.
