Alain Marie Pierret (born July 16, 1930 in Mourmelon Châlons-en-Champagne ) is a former French diplomat .

Life

Alain Marie Pierret is the son of Yvonne Delhumeau and Henri Pierret. He married Jacqueline Nanta in 1958. He studied at the École nationale de la France d'Outre-Mer . He was used by the Navy in the Indochina War , Togo and the Algerian Sahara . From November 26, 1975 to May 7, 1982 he was ambassador to Seyni Kountché in Niamey . From June 2, 1986 to June 12, 1991 he was ambassador to Tel Aviv . From October 9, 1991 to September 15, 1993 he was ambassador to Brussels . From September 15, 1993 to September 20, 1995 he was Ambassador to the Holy See .
