Alain Yoda

Bédouma Alain Yoda (born December 31, 1951 in Komtoèga , Upper Volta , today Burkina Faso ) is a politician from the West African state of Burkina Faso. He has been the country's health minister since 2002.

After studying in Cameroon and France , he held high positions in ministries from 1978, was temporarily director of an airline and since 1985 economic and financial advisor to President Thomas Sankara . In 1992 he was elected to the National Assembly and in 1997 Minister of Tourism. After the post of Ministre du Commerce de la Promotion de l'Entreprise et de l'Artisanat , he received the Minister of Health in 2002.

As the regional coordinator of the ruling party Congrès pour la démocratie et le progrès (CDP) for the Center-Est region , he was responsible for the 2007 election campaign. In early 2007 he was sharply attacked by Laoussény Ouédraogo, the former mayor of Tenkodogo , and held responsible for the party's critical situation in Boulgou province . The party continued to support Yoda, but was only able to win two out of four seats in the parliamentary elections in Boulgou Province on May 6, 2007.

Yoda belongs to the Bissa ethnic group , is married and has two children.
