Alan Ford (actor)

Alan Ford (born February 23, 1938 in Walworth , London ) is a British theater and film actor . His best-known roles were gangsters in Guy Ritchie's films Jack, Queen, King, grass and Snatch - Pigs and Diamonds .

Early life

Ford grew up in the Elephant and Castle area in central London. He left school early and served in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps .

Education and career

François Truffaut gave Ford a role in his film Fahrenheit 451 . Ford began training at the East 15 Acting School . He studied dramatic theater for three years.

Ford starred in Exorcist: The Beginning and the radio version of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy .

Ford played Clifford Harding in GF Newman's Law & Order in 1978 , then followed a brief role in American Werewolf . In the production of Armando Iannucci Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge , he played a boxing promoter named Terry Norton. He also made an appearance on the television series Snuff Box.

In 1998 Ford auditioned for Guy Ritchie and got the role of a gangster in Bube, Dame, König, grAS . Ritchie gave him a similar role two years later in his comedy Snatch.

He then played the role of the grumpy gangster in 2013 in the television series Lilyhammer and The Hundred Year Old Who Got Out of the Window and Disappeared .
