Alan Graham Notley (born April 10, 1940 in Poole ) is a former British biathlete . Between 1964 and 1973 he took part in seven out of ten possible major events in biathlon.

Alan Notley started as part of the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck at his first major biathlon event and finished 37th in the individual. At the singles of the Biathlon World Championships in Elverum in 1965 he came in 36th and in 1966 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 32nd. 1968 Notley took part in the Olympic Games for the second time and reached 44th place in the singles in Grenoble . He also started with Marcus Halliday , Peter Tancock and Frederick Andrewin the relay competition held for the first time at the Games. After a two-year break, the Briton started again at the Biathlon World Championships in 1971 in Hämeenlinna , where he was 39th in the individual. For the third time, Notley took part in the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo . Again he competed in the individual and was there 43rd and 11th in the relay race with Malcolm Hirst , Keith Oliver and Jeffrey Stevens . The last major event was the 1973 Biathlon World Championships in Lake Placid , where he came in 32nd place in the individual and thus repeated his best result in a major event at the end of his career.
