Alasdair Strokosch (born February 21, 1983 in Paisley ) is a former Scottish rugby player who played on the position of winger .

Career

society

In his youth, Strokosch played at Boroughmuir RFC and East Kilbride RFC. He started his professional career with Edinburgh Rugby . After five years at Gloucester RFC , he moved to USA Perpignan in France in 2012 . He played his last game due to an injury on November 20, 2017 in the 37:11 away defeat against Biarritz Olympique . After climbing into the top 14 in 2018 , he ended his career and returned to Scotland as a strength and conditioning trainer.

National team

He played his first international game on November 25, 2006 against Australia . He was part of the Scottish squad for the Rugby Union World Cups in 2011 and 2015 . On November 5, 2015, he resigned from the national team.

Others

He is a member of Sportscotland , the sports institute of Scotland. At the age of 12 he got the black belt in karate and represented Scotland at the U21 world and European championships. Strokosch's father is German, his mother Scottish.
