Alban Skenderaj , also Alban Skënderaj or Alban for short , (born April 20, 1982 in Lushnja , Albania ) is one of the most famous singers in Albania. He grew up there and in Italy and now lives in Munich .

Life

Alban Skenderaj was born in 1982 in Lushnja , a small town in central Albania . But he grew up in Vlora in southwestern Albania . His father was an officer in the Albanian army and also wrote several poetry and prose works . When Alban was 14 years old, he went to Italy with a friend . He lived with two older brothers who had emigrated earlier in Pistoia near Florence . He has been married to Miriam Cani since May 2019 and the couple have a daughter named Amelie.

Music career

Albans music career began in his native country, where he the prize at the Top Time 2 2005 the TV station Top Channel with his song Vetem Ty won. His second track Thirrje e dëshpëruar became a hit in Albania , Macedonia and Kosovo and was his first breakthrough. The album sold over 100,000 times.

In 2005 he made advertising for Vodafone Albania . A year later he took part in the 45th Festivali i Këngës with his song Eklips . In June 2007 Skenderaj played a big concert in Tirana with the German group Schiller . In 2008 his single Larg dhe afër and his second album Melody were released .

In July 2009 his first single was released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The title song This is Your Day ( Edel Records ) is also the promotional song for the new Nürburgring . In 2010 he released the single Si Më Parë in Albania .

Skënderaj is under contract with sunnyVisions . In 2011 he released the album at the end of Ka Shpresë with a total of 14 tracks.

In November 2012 Alban Skënderaj won the Kënga Magjike singing competition with the song Refuzoj (I refuse) .

Awards

Alban Skenderaj won the casting shows Top Fest 2 and Top Fest 3 in 2005 and 2006 . Also in 2010 at Top Fest 7 he received a special award in honor of Dritan Hoxha from Vjollca Hoxha , the wife of Dritan Hoxha , the founder of the Top Media Group , who died in a car accident two years ago.
