Sunny bastards

Sunny Bastards is a German independent label that specializes in subculture- specific feature films and documentaries . The label is based in Essen .

history

The label was founded in 2003 as a pure film label. The first releases were Made in Britain , the 1983 debut film by actor Tim Roth , and a music DVD from Mob & Gesocks . This was followed, among other things, by the documentaries Skinheads by Klaus Farin and Rainer Fromm and Skinhead Attitude as well as the films Suburbia - Rebellen der Straße , Loser and Dazlak - Skinhead .

With Punk Rock Splatter Massacre , an independent splatter film with excerpts from the Vans Warped Tour was released in 2007 . With Sunny Visions, the label also publishes its own DVD fanzine.

In 2004, the film division was expanded to include a music label, on which, among others, Pöbel & Gesocks , Verlorene Jungs , Menace and Emscherkurve 77 have published or published their music. A sampler series called Sun of a Bastard has so far made it to the ninth edition (as of 2017), an OHL - and a Bud Spencer & Terence Hill - tribute album was also released on the music label. The slime tribute album Alle gegen Alle was indexed in March 2013 by the federal inspection agency for media harmful to minors .

The label sells its products worldwide, including in the United Kingdom, the Benelux countries, Greece, Switzerland and Spain.
