The Alberga River is a river in the north of the Australian state of South Australia .

River course

The river rises west of the settlement Sundown O / S on the Stuart Highway , about 50 km south of Kulgera . It flows southeast through the Pedirka Desert and flows south of the Witjira National Park , about 40 km northwest of the Macumba settlement into the Macumba River . At Todmorden near the Oodnadatta Track , the river channel divides into many small channels in a flood plain .
