Albert Behn

Albert Behn (born May 5, 1884 in Woltersburg , † October 3, 1969 in Hanover ) was a German entrepreneur and director of the Wülfel brewery .

Life

Albert Behn was born in Wolterburg in 1884 during the founding period of the German Empire . As a young man of about 24, he started from 1908 in Wülfel in the two years before as a registered cooperative -run brewery Wülfel eG to act.

Behn worked in the Wülfel brewery during the Weimar Republic and at the time of National Socialism and until 1969. After the seizure of power , he had already taken over the management of the “Lager-Brauerei Wülfel eGmbH” in 1934. On April 1, 1954, on April 1, 1954, the Schulze-Delitzsch Cooperative Association, which was based in Bonn , awarded him the gold Schulze-Delitzsch commemorative coin to mark his 30th anniversary as director of "this prestigious company in the Lower Saxony beverage industry" . Behn became the 14th holder in the federal territory of the award donated in 1953 for special services to the commercial cooperative system.

Albert Behn distinguished himself as a sponsor of various Wülfeler associations. In his honor, the Schützengesellschaft Wülfel von 1896 eV annually awards the Albert Behn disc of honor according to their shooting regulations .

Behn was most recently a managing board member of the Brauerei Wülfel eGmbH, Hanover-Wülfel. He died at the age of 85.

Behnstrasse

Behnstrasse, which was laid out in the Wülfel district of Hanover in 1972 and leads from Hildesheimer Strasse to Garvensstrasse, has since posthumously honored the former brewery director Albert Behn, who died a few years earlier, by giving her name.
