Albert Pasquier (born June 27, 1892 in Sâles ; † October 24, 1976 there , entitled to reside in Sâles) was a Swiss politician ( CVP ).

biography

Albert Pasquier was born on June 27, 1892 in Sâles as the son of the farmer and Freiburg Grand Councilor Jean Pasquier and Marie-born Favre. After completing his school education, Pasquier worked as a farmer and community clerk in Sâles.

In addition, Albert Pasquier acted as President of the Freiburg Farmers' Union, the Fédération suisse d'élevage Tachetée Noire and the executive committee of the Syndicat agricole de la Gruyère as well as Vice-President of the District Court of Gruyères , the Council of Churches and treasurer of the St. Joseph retirement home in Sâles.

Albert Pasquier first married Hermine-Marie, daughter of Alphonse Castella, in 1920, and Bernadette-Catherine, daughter of Eugène Genoud, in 1953. He died on October 24, 1976 at the age of 84 in Sâles.

Political career

Albert Pasquier joined the Christian Democratic People's Party. His political career began in 1913 with his election to the council of Sâles, where he remained until 1963, of which 1931 to 1935 in the position of mayor . Between 1942 and 1947 he was represented at the cantonal level in the Freiburg Grand Council. In addition, Pasquier took a seat on the National Council for the canton from 1939 to 1947 at the federal level . There, his commitment was primarily to the concerns of farmers.
