Albert Schmidt (politician, 1951)

Albert Schmidt (born February 13, 1951 in Uffenheim , Middle Franconia ) is a German politician. From 1994 to 2005 he was a member of the German Bundestag . Albert Schmidt is currently working as a political advisor.

Life

After graduating from the Willibald Gymnasium in Eichstätt , Schmidt completed a pedagogy course in Nuremberg and Eichstätt from 1969 to 1976, which he completed as a qualified pedagogue and elementary school teacher. From 1976 to 1978 he was a research assistant at the Catholic University of Eichstätt . He then worked in the primary school until his election to the Bundestag . From 1985 to 1994 he was a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in the Eichstätt district council before being elected to the Bundestag in 1994 via the Bavarian state list. He was represented in this until 2005.

From 1999 he was a member of the supervisory board of Deutsche Bahn AG. He resigned from his office on December 31, 2002. His successor was Margareta Wolf , then Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Environment Ministry.
