Albert Werunsky

Albert Werunsky (born March 13, 1844 in Mies ; † December 29, 1915 ) was a Bohemian lawyer , politician , university professor and person in the Bohemian and Austrian commercial cooperative system .

Life

In 1873 he began his professional activity as a lawyer in Prague . He was elected to the Bohemian Landtag as a member of the Progress Party in 1881 and took over the chairmanship there in 1898.

From 1892 to 1912 he was chairman of the entire committee of the General Association of Self-Help-Based Commercial and Economic Cooperatives in Austria (since 1930 Austrian Cooperative Association , ÖGV), from 1894 to 1915 he was president of the savings and credit association in Smíchov and from 1891 to 1915 head of the Association of German advance payment associations in Bohemia.

His teaching activities included in particular the professorship at the Technical University in Prague . He was a member of the state school council and a member of the state examination committee for political science. He taught economics as well as commercial and bill of exchange law at the Prague Commercial Academy .
