Alberto Barberis (called Ju-Ju ; born January 1, 1883 in Vercelli , † April 8, 1976 ) was an Italian football player and lawyer .
Career
Alberto Barberis came from Vercelli, which is northeast of Turin . He studied at the University of Turin Law and was initially for FC Torinese active. From 1900 Alberto Barberis took part in the Italian football championship with Juventus Turin . On March 11, 1900, he made his debut for Juve in the 1-0 defeat by FC Torinese on the Campo di Piazza d'armi , which was also the first official game in Juventus history. In 1905 he was a regular player in the position of right winger and won the first championship title in club history with the Turin club.
Barberis earned his living at the beginning of the 20th century in the company of Alfredo Dick , who was also President of Juventus from 1905 to 1906. When Dick was ousted in 1906 and decided to found the Foot Ball Club Torino , Barberis offered to follow him. The striker said no and was then dismissed by Dick.
By 1912 Alberto Barberis completed a total of 25 championship games for Juventus, but could not score a single goal.
Alberto Barberis was forgotten and died in 1976 at the age of 93 in an old people's home.
