Alberto De Marinis
Alberto De Marinis Stendardo di Ricigliano (born December 9, 1868 in Cava de 'Tirreni , Campania region ; † October 13, 1940 there ) was an Italian officer, most recently a brigadier general, military attaché and Italian plebiscite commissioner of the Inter-Allied Government and Plebiscite Commission for Upper Silesia (1919 –1921) as well as senator (from 1923) and state minister. De Marinis worked as an Italian military attaché in Bern , Brussels and The Hague .
The "Percival-de-Marinis-Linie" is named after him and Harold Percival , a moderate proposal for dividing the border in Eastern Upper Silesia , which, however , was rejected by France ; The Sforza line was later implemented .
