Albin Dostal

Albin Dostal (born November 28, 1896 in Vienna , † April 16, 1971 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and editor in Eisenstadt . Dostal was married and from 1953 to 1956 Provincial Councilor in Burgenland .

Dostal was born as the son of master tailor Josef Dostal from Vienna. He attended elementary, secondary and commercial school in Vienna and was an official in the Ministry of Social Affairs. He lived in Burgenland from 1922, initially based in Unterpullendorf and later moved to Neutal . He became party secretary in the Oberpullendorf district and a member of the state party executive committee and state party control. From December 5, 1930 to February 12, 1934, he represented the Socialist Party in the Burgenland state parliament and went into exile in Czechoslovakia in the course of the civil war from February 1934 to February 1939 . He then spent three months in the Netherlands and from June 1939 to December 1946 in London .

After his return he was a member of the SPÖ state party executive from 1946 to 1961. In the VII legislative period, he was state councilor in the state government of Karall III .
