Albrecht Block
Albrecht Block (born March 5, 1774 in Sagan , † November 21, 1847 in Carolath ) was a German farmer .
Albrecht Block learned agriculture from 1789, managed several estates, lived as a councilor and director of the Silesian regular sheep farm in Karolath from 1838 and died there. He ran a small agricultural institute on his Schierau estate until 1838. Block earned great merit by spreading the crop rotation economy , improving the fertilizer system, growing potatoes and raising sheep.
