Albrecht Riermeier
Albrecht Riermeier (born June 29, 1951 ) is a German musician and music teacher. Musically he mainly deals with drums , percussion and vibes .
Musical education
Albrecht Riermeier began studying percussion at the Berlin University of Education and later at the University of the Arts , also in Berlin. After visiting the Creativ Music Studio in Woodstock / USA, he received a scholarship to study vibraphone at Berklee College of Music in Boston / USA.
Musical activity
Albrecht Riermeier mainly works as a freelance musician as a drummer, vibraphonist and percussionist in various ensembles, orchestras and theaters. Among other things, the following collaborations took place:
- with double percussion ( Hermann Naehring )
- with the Super Nova Percussion Ensemble (Hermann Naehring and four percussionists from the Berlin Symphony Orchestra ) and the composer Michael Sell
- with the saxophonist Friedemann Graef
- Dance production at the Societaetstheater in Dresden with Thomas Hartmann , Carola Tautz-Bär and Katja Erfurth .
Through his teaching at the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf Music School and the “Hanns Eisler” University of Music in Berlin , he maintains a connection to the grassroots .
