Joachim Albrecht von Bethmann-Hollweg

Joachim Albrecht von Bethmann-Hollweg (born December 16, 1911 in Runowo (Kórnik) , Posen Province , German Empire , † August 23, 2001 in Royal Tunbridge Wells , United Kingdom ) was a German ice hockey player .

Career

Joachim Albrecht von Bethmann-Hollweg only played for MEV 1883 Munich before moving in 1930. At SC Riessersee he played from 1930 and 1937 for SC Riessersee, with which he won the German championship title in the 1935 season. He had short-term assignments for HC Davos and later for the Queens Ice Hockey Club .

Internationally, he represented his home country for the first time at the 1932 European ice hockey championship . At the 1934 World Cup he won the bronze medal with the German national team .

Bethmann-Hollweg took part in the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for the German national ice hockey team. In total, he completed at least 18 international matches in which he scored 3 goals.

He was honored with the admission into the German Hockey Hall of Fame .
