Aleksandar Stanojević ( Serbian - Cyrillic Александар Станојевић ; born March 10, 1984 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian handball player . The 1.97 m tall left-hander is mostly used in the right rear area.

Career

Aleksandar Stanojević began his career in 2002 at RK Partizan Belgrade , with whom he won the Serbian-Montenegrin Championship in 2003. He played internationally with Partizan in the EHF Cup , the EHF Champions League , the European Cup Winners' Cup and the EHF Challenge Cup . In 2006 he moved to the German handball league for HBW Balingen-Weilstetten . In February 2007 he was signed by VfL Gummersbach to replace the injured Denis Sakharov . There he could not convince, however, and in the summer of 2007 went to the French LNH for Paris Handball . After a year he joined the Macedonian club RK Metalurg Skopje , with which he won the cup in 2009. From February 2009 he started working for HSG Wetzlar . The following two seasons he spent with the Slovenian team RK Gorenje Velenje . He then returned to Serbia to RK Radnički Kragujevac. With the Qatari club Lekhwiya he became champion in 2013.

Aleksandar Stanojević played 60 international matches for the Serbian men's handball team . He was in the extended squad for the 2009 World Cup .
