Aleksandrów is a village in the Piotrkowski powiat of the Łódź Voivodeship in Poland . It has about 200 inhabitants and is the seat of the rural community of the same name with 4347 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2019).

geography

The place is centrally located in the municipality and only became the seat of the municipality in 1973. The district town of Piotrków Trybunalski is located about 30 kilometers northwest.

history

Until 1954, the village of Niewierszyn was the seat of a rural municipality of the same name, which was dissolved that year. When the rural parishes were reintroduced in 1973, Aleksandrów received the parish seat. From 1975 to 1998 the municipality belonged to the Piotrków Voivodeship .
