Alemayehu Shumye
Alemayehu Shumye (born April 6, 1988 , † January 11, 2013 in Addis Ababa ) was an Ethiopian marathon runner .
In 2008 Shumye won the Maratona del riso, the Warsaw Marathon and the Beirut Marathon .
The following year he was tenth in the Zurich Marathon and, with his personal best of 2:08:46, fifth in the Frankfurt Marathon . He also finished fifth in the 2010 Xiamen Marathon .
Shumye died in a car accident at the age of 24.
