Alessandro Nini
Alessandro Nini (born November 1, 1805 in Fano near Pesaro , † December 27, 1880 in Bergamo ) was an Italian composer .
Life
Nowadays, Alessandro Nini is less known for his operas, but rather for his marriage to the then famous soprano Marianna Barbieri-Nini (1818–1887), who was the first to play the role of Lady Macbeth in Verdi's opera (premiered in Florence in 1847 ). Nini's oeuvre includes eight operas ( La marescialla d'Ancre is the most famous of these), church music , chamber music and symphonies . He also contributed a portion to the Requiem Messa per Rossini funeral mass of Rossini at, namely in the fifth section of the II. Sequentia, Ingemisco for solo tenor and choir .
