Alex Bellemare (born March 12, 1993 ) is a Canadian freestyle skier . He starts in the freestyle disciplines Slopestyle and Big Air .

Career

Bellemare has been participating in AFP World Tour competitions since 2011 . He won his first victory in the Canadian Shield in slopestyle in Mont-Tremblant in February 2012 . He made his debut in the Freestyle Skiing World Cup in March 2012 in Mammoth and finished second in the Slopestyle. At the Winter X Games Europe 2012 in Tignes , he finished fifth in the slopestyle. The following year he won fourth place in slopestyle at the Winter X Games 2013 in Aspen and won the Frostgun Invitational Big Air competition in Val-d'Isère . In the 2014/15 season he took second place in Big Air at Air & Style in Los Angeles and at The Sony SnowCrown in Blue Mountain and second place in slopestyle at the SFR Freestyle Tour in La Clusaz . At the Winter X Games 2015 in Aspen , he won the bronze medal in slopestyle. In the following season he came second in the SFR Freestyle Tour in La Clusaz in slopestyle and won his first World Cup victory in slopestyle at Bokwang Phoenix Park in Pyeongchang . At the Winter X Games 2016 in Aspen , he took eighth place in slopestyle and at the X-Games Oslo 2016, 17th place in Big Air. In January 2017, he came third in slopestyle at the World Cup in Font Romeu . At the Winter-X-Games 2017 he finished 19th and at the X-Games Norway 2017 in Hafjell the 13th place in slopestyle. At the Freestyle Skiing World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada he finished seventh in slopestyle. He finished the season in sixth place in the Slopestyle World Cup.
