Alex Palmieri (* 1991 in Milan as Alessandro Palmieri ) is an Italian pop singer and LGBT activist.

Career

The trained dancer first presented himself to the Italian television audience in 2010 in the television show Pomeriggio Cinque with Barbara D'Urso on Canale 5 . He released his first single Move in 2011, the album of the same name was released in the same year as a self-production. Palmieri appeared in a number of nightclubs and was particularly popular on the Internet. He also took part in the reality show Social King on Rai 2 . For the single Popstar Palmieri worked for the first time with the Swedish DJ Tim Bergholm .

After further single releases and live appearances in Italian clubs, Palmieri released the single Monster Boy in late 2012 , produced by Jandy Andrey Prudnikow , and performed at the 2013 Gay Pride in Milan. In the fall of that year he signed his first record deal with Believe Digital and followed up with the album Back Alive , co-produced by Bergholm and Prudnikow. The first single from it was Wasted . Subsequently, Palmieri continued touring Italy and was a frequent guest at Pride events, while a number of other singles appeared with accompanying music videos.

In November 2014 he released the first single from the new album, Maniac , which also introduced his Vevo channel, and appeared in 2015 (alongside, for example, Ivana Spagna ) at the Verona Pride . In November, the next album Uncensored came out, which was preceded by the further single Nicholas' Got a Secret . In addition to Palmieri and Prudnikow, songwriter Luca Sala was also involved in the album. The following tour took the singer out of his home country, for example to the Rainbow Parade in Vienna, the CSD Munich , the Warsaw Pride or the Copenaghen Pride . In September 2016 he took part in the dating show Uomini e Donne by Maria De Filippi on Canale 5 .

With the new single Online , Palmieri began work on his new album at the end of 2016. After an initial promotional tour through Italy from 2017, a series of Pride appearances followed in Germany, Budapest and London . In October 2017 the next single But Nobody Knows was released , in this context the new album was announced for the beginning of 2018. After a crowdfunding campaign, Reset was finally released in January 2018 , again by Believe Digital.
