Alex Ross (comic artist)
Alex Ross (* 22. January 1970 in Portland , Oregon ) is an American comic - artist and - author . Contrary to the usual drawing style for comics, Ross is a classically trained painter who works from a template. For this purpose, he mostly lets friends stand as models. Since his working method is very time-consuming compared to normal comic drawings, he only contributes the cover images to many projects and leaves the drawings on the inside to other artists.
