Alexander Biemer

Alexander Biemer (* 1972 / 1973 ) is a German basketball coach .

Life

Biemer was coach of the second division women of TV Bensberg from 1998 to 2000 , then from 2000 to 2003 of BG TV Neunkirchen / Siegburger TV, also in the second division of women . In the run-up to the 2003/04 season, he succeeded Anna Stammberger as coach at the first division club BG Rentrop Bonn . His sister Susanne was one of his players in Neunkirchen and Bonn . Biemer remained a Bonn coach until the end of the 2004/05 season and then went back to TV Neunkirchen, where he worked in the youth sector. From January 2006 to the end of the 2005/2006 season he was again a coach in Bensberg, this time in the women's Bundesliga, but at the same time remained active for TV Neunkirchen. In addition to coaching duties, he later took on the position of head of the basketball department.

He worked as a functionary for the West German Basketball Association (WBV) and was elected to the board in 2009. As one of the vice presidents, he took over the management of the education department. In this position, Biemer worked with his father Klaus-Rüdiger , who was WBV chairman, until 2015 . Even after his father left in 2015, he continued to work for the WBV as Vice President Education. Biemer also became a member of the teaching and coaching committee at the Federal Academy of the German Basketball Association .
