Alexander Cisik (* 1965 in Erkelenz ) is a German psychologist , university professor and management consultant .

Life

After graduating from high school at Cusanus-Gymnasium Erkelenz, Cisik studied psychology at the University of Cologne from 1984 to 1990 with a focus on "economic and social psychology". His doctorate as Dr. phil. took place in 1993 at Gerd Wiendieck at the FernUniversität Hagen with a thesis on the subject of "holistic personnel management". During his studies, Cisik was part of the founding team of the consulting company GeWA ( Society for Business Psychological Analyzes and Consulting Ltd ), founded in Cologne in 1988 by Gerd Wiendieck, among others ; In 1991 he became a partner there. In 1995 he went to 3M Deutschland GmbH in Neuss as head of the personnel development department and in 1997 he moved to the SIG Combibloc Group in Linnich as Director Corporate Human Resources . In 1999 he founded the cisikconsulting Agency for Personnel and Organizational Consulting GmbH in Düsseldorf, and has been its Scientific Director ever since.

In 2000, Cisik was appointed professor for business, organizational and work psychology in the economics department at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Mönchengladbach . He regularly presents his research results at specialist conferences and congresses and publishes in specialist journals.

As a management consultant, Cisik founded the Destination Leadership Excellence initiative in 2016 with the consultant Ulrich Jordan and, together with Christian Scherg, the German Institute for Employer Quality (DINAQ).

Cisik was a guest on radio and television, including ARD , ZDF , WDR and N24 . So he was z. B. Guest on Hart aber fair (ARD), in the program ZDF Zeit “How good are our bosses?” (ZDF) and in the radio program Das Tages talk “Do we need more innovation and risk?” (WDR 5).

Cisik is married, has two children and lives with his family in Düsseldorf.

Teaching and Research

Cisik focuses on the psychological aspects of job design, management culture and personnel selection. In 2015, among other things, he examined the attractiveness of Germany as an employer between demands and reality. In 2016, he carried out a nationwide study on leadership culture and its potential for change in Germany. Based on an empirical study, in 2018 he drafted a scenario of the world of work in 2030.

In 2020, together with students from the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, he developed the web tool matchpoint-niederrhein.de , an innovative screening and matching platform that combines central elements of self-assessments and job exchanges into an overall system.
