Alexander Clemens Foster (born October 26, 1992 in Stuttgart ) is a former American - German basketball player . The height of the winger is 2.02 meters.
Career
Foster is the son of a German mother and an American father. He was born in Stuttgart and moved to the United States with his family as a toddler. There he grew up bilingual (English and German) in Portland , Oregon , and played basketball at the local Catlin Gabel High School. He was also a member of the school's golf team.
Between 2011 and 2015 , Foster studied ( business administration ) and played at Emory University in Atlanta , Georgia . Following his fourth and final season at university, in which he averaged 20.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, he was elected to the "All-America Team" by the Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) “Of the NCAA Division 3.
In July 2015 he signed his first professional contract with the newly promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA , the RheinStars Cologne . In his first season on the Rhine, Foster was used in 30 encounters and achieved statistical averages of 9.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. In the 2016/17 game year he posted an average of 9.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per match, in his last game year 2017/18 in Cologne it was 6.4 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. In 2018 he returned to the USA and took care of the fortunes of the company that he had founded in Portland in 2016 and with which he offers basketball training for young people.
