Alexander Gittinger
Alexander Gittinger (* 1961 ) is a German film and television actor .
Live and act
Gittinger was discovered by TV director Eberhard Itzenplitz at the age of 18 and brought in front of the camera. After his participation in the television series Köberle , the Austrian film producer Karl Spiehs Gittinger signed up for a series of simple love and sex games like Sunshine Reggae in Ibiza , Schoolgirls '84 and Her with the little pigs . Gittinger mostly had to play the shy best friend of the teenage hero and lover, who always acts a little fool and as a nerd exposes himself to the ridicule of others through his awkward behavior and has little chance with the pretty girls.
From the mid-1980s on, Gittinger appeared almost exclusively in television productions, including the series Der Eugen , where he played a permanent role, and six Tatort episodes, where he embodied the criminal assistant and forensic agent Kraus in the productions of Saarland Radio. After 1993, Gittinger hardly appeared in front of the camera. Recently, Gittinger has increasingly dealt with questions of behavioral psychology and their impact on everyday interaction and has released a DVD as part of the “Choice Theory” method.
Alexander Gittinger currently lives and works in Malibu as an employee of the company "The People Concern", where he looks after the homeless and other people in a socially difficult environment as a social worker and street worker.
