Alexander Konstantinowitsch Paschkow ( Russian Александр Константинович Пашков ; born August 28, 1944 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey goalkeeper .

Career

During his career, the goalkeeper played for Dynamo Moscow , Lokomotiv Moscow , Krylya Sovetov Moscow , Chimik Voskressensk and CSKA Moscow . In total, he was in goal in 506 games in the Soviet league . He was appointed to the Soviet national ice hockey team at an early age . On November 26, 1965 he was in a game against Czechoslovakia for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with a gold medal at the 1972 Winter Olympics . Based on video recordings from the Summit Series 1972 , the story was slightly adjusted in 2002. While Vladislav Tretyak had all 8 games on the ice, it had long been believed that Alexander Sidelnikov had been the substitute goalkeeper on the bench for all games in Moscow . However, the recordings showed Pashkov wearing the number 26 in the sixth game. Yevgeny Paladjew had worn this jersey at three other games .

For the national team, Paschkow was in goal in 11 international matches. At the ice hockey world championships in 1978 he was world champion with his team. In 1978 he was inducted into the " Russian Hockey Hall of Fame ". On May 1, 1978 he played his last international match.
