Alexander Kurzbach (born October 10, 1991 in Hildesheim ; † November 9, 2014 near Borsum ) was a German volleyball player .

Career

Kurzbach began his sporting career with his native SV Groß Düngen. From there, the middle blocker switched to MTV 48 Hildesheim and later to the regional league team MTV Salzdahlum . In 2010, the second division USC Braunschweig signed the young player. In 2011/12 Kurzbach played for Bundesliga club TV Bühl . He then returned to USC Braunschweig, with whom he was promoted to the second Bundesliga in 2014. Then he moved to the league competitor TSV Giesen / Hildesheim . On the evening of November 9, 2014, Kurzbach died in a traffic accident between Borsum and Asel .
