Alexander Muxel (born February 2, 1969 in Bludenz ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and business economist . Muxel was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament from 2011 to 2014 .

Education, work and private life

Alexander Muxel was born on February 2, 1969 in the Vorarlberg district capital Bludenz. From 1983 to 1988 he attended the commercial academy in Feldkirch , where he also graduated . In parallel to basic military service , he then began studying business administration with a specialization in marketing and corporate management at the University of Innsbruck . He finished this in March 1993 with his graduation as a Master of Social and Economic Sciences. Immediately afterwards, Muxel completed a postgraduate course in international marketing at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium .

Subsequently, Alexander Muxel worked in various positions in several companies, such as the operational managing director of Bregenz Creative Stempel Company GmbH , corporate customer advisor at Vorarlberger Volksbank and interim managing director of the Swiss label manufacturer Pago . In January 2012, Muxel became self-employed as a management consultant and founded the company Alexander Muxel Consulting eU in Rankweil.

Alexander Muxel is married and has two children. He lives with his family and children in Rankweil .

Political career

Alexander Muxel took over his first political office in April 1995 when he was first elected community representative of his home community Rankweil . In the Rankweiler municipal council, he is the vice chairman of the finance committee. From 1996 to October 2001 he was also councilor for culture, sport and clubs as well as councilor for finances. After Rainer Gögele , the previous club chairman of the ÖVP Vorarlberg in the state parliament, who had been appointed as regional councilor in the Vorarlberg state government , Alexander Muxel took up the vacant state parliament mandate on December 14, 2011 as a member of the Feldkirch electoral district . In the 29th Vorarlberg state parliament he was subsequently for the ÖVP area spokesman for economy and tourism. Even before the state elections in 2014 , Muxel announced that he would not run again for the state parliament and left the state parliament after the election.
