Alexander Ogrinc (born December 10, 1968 in Kuppenheim ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper and current coach . He is currently working as a kit manager for third division club FC Hansa Rostock in the 2018/19 season .
Career
Ogrinc was a goalkeeper in the youth of VfB Stuttgart . As one of the best of his year, he took part in the U-16 World Cup in 1985 and received the silver medal after a 2-0 defeat in the final against Nigeria. In Stuttgart, however, he could not prevail and therefore moved to Arminia Bielefeld in 1991 , who played in the Oberliga Westfalen . Until 1995 he played 89 league games for Westphalia before he was ousted by Uli Stein and moved to Rot-Weiss Essen . There he made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga on August 3, 1996 , but conceded four goals in the game against the Stuttgarter Kickers . After four games without a win at the beginning, he was replaced by Marc Petrick on matchday five . From the 11th match day he was back between the posts, but was ousted by Frank Kurth in the second half of the season . Ogrinc then moved to Hessen Kassel at the end of the season , where he only stayed for half a year.
In January 1998 Ogrinc was hired by Wuppertaler SV in the Regionalliga West . Again he only stayed a half series and moved to league rivals Prussia Münster in the summer . On November 7, 1999, he was seriously injured in the game against Fortuna Düsseldorf in the 12th minute ( Achilles tendon rupture ), Uwe Weidemann pushed the ball into the empty goal to make the score 0-1. In the summer of 2000 he went to the Regionalliga Nord for SV Wilhelmshaven . There he was a regular goalkeeper, but had to relegate with the club after the license withdrawal. The-bankrupt club needs him had to give and Ogrinc therefore went to Eintracht Braunschweig , where he sat in the second division climbers on the bench. After half a year he returned to Wilhelmshaven free of charge to sign a ten-year contract. This contract stipulated that he would play for the club for another three years and that he would get a job with the main sponsor Sprehe for the remainder of the contract . In the summer, however, he went to Holstein Kiel , as the SVW signed a new goalkeeper with Rene Damerow. In 2004 Ogrinc ended his career at Kiel, but a year later he was reactivated by the Bonner SC and ended his career there in the summer of 2007. As a goalkeeping coach, he switched to the club's coaching staff.
During the winter break of the 2010/11 second division season , Ogrinc returned to professional football and replaced the goalkeeping coach Peter Gadinger, who was ill at the time , at Karlsruher SC . At the end of the season he left the Baden club and moved in the same position to FC Hansa Rostock and from 2013 to 2015 to SC Preußen Münster .
In October 2018 it was announced that Ogrinc will return to FC Hansa Rostock with immediate effect and initially take on the tasks of the sick kit manager for the rest of the current season .
The goalkeeper has played eleven professional games in his career, all of them in the 2nd Bundesliga. In addition, he played 121 games in the Regionalliga and was 284 times in the Oberliga on the field.
