Alexander Schnetzler (born April 17, 1979 in Rohrdorf ) is a German soccer player . He is right-footed and is preferred as a right full-back or right midfielder .

Career

The defensive player on the right played in his youth for SV Rohrdorf and SC Pfullendorf . For the 2000/01 season he moved to the professional squad. Even after relegation from the Regionalliga Süd that season and the direct re-promotion, he remained loyal to SC Pfullendorf until the end of the 2003/04 season.

For the 2004/05 season he went to Thuringia for FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt , which had been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . After relegation to the then regional league in the following season, Schnetzler stayed in Erfurt, where he became a regular on the right wing. His contract, which expired in 2009, was not extended. Finally Schnetzler signed a contract with VfL Osnabrück , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2010.

In the summer of 2011, Schnetzler moved to Dynamo Dresden after losing the relegation games against Dresden with Osnabrück and relegated to the third division again . On July 30, 2011, he scored the winning goal in the 117th minute of his first competitive appearance for the Elbestädter in the DFB-Pokal first round match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 117th minute of the game, after being substituted on 17 minutes earlier. Schnetzler was invited to the current sports studio on the same evening as the decisive goal scorer in the “Miracle of Dresden” and appeared two days later at Bundesliga aktuell . In the subsequent second division season he came only to one use on the last day of the game and his one-year contract was not extended.

Schnetzler then moved back to SC Pfullendorf in the regional league. At the same time he worked as an insurance salesman in his learned profession . After he had already finished his football career, he returned to his club as a striker and assistant coach after the relegation of SC Pfullendorf to the top division. After Schnetzler was relegated two years later with SC Pfullendorf from the league, he joined TSV Aach-Linz in the district league.
