Career

Sebald began his career at SpVgg Greuther Fürth . After initially playing for the various youth departments, he made his debut for the second team in the Regionalliga Bayern in July 2013 , when he was in the starting line-up against TSV Buchbach on the first day of the 2013/14 season .

In summer 2015 he moved to Kickers Offenbach . For the Kickers he completed 17 league games by the end of the 2016/17 season. For the 2017/18 season he joined the Austrian second division club SC Austria Lustenau , with whom he received a contract valid until June 2020.

He made his debut in the second division in July 2017, when he was called up on the starting line-up on the first day of that season against Floridsdorfer AC .

For the 2018/19 season he initially returned to Germany on loan, where he joined the third division team Hansa Rostock . He made his competitive debut for the Hanseatic League on September 9, 2018 in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Cup against SG Warnow Papendorf. In the final, Hansa beat Torgelower FC Greif 4-1 and won the trophy. Sebald made his third division debut on matchday 38 against VfR Aalen . Following the season, the Hanseatic team committed Sebald after goalkeeper Ioannis Gelios had left the club and provided him with a contract valid until June 2020. In the 2019/20 season, Sebald only received three appearances in the Rostock reserve team in the Oberliga Nordost and four in the state cup with the first team of the Kogge. Both competitions were not played to the end due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Germany . Sebald did not get any more appearances in the 3rd division , Hansa coach Jens Härtel relied on his regular goalkeeper Markus Kolke without exception this season . Sebald did not extend his expiring contract with Hansa, for which he played a total of eleven competitive games, and instead moved to SV Rödinghausen in the Regionalliga West .
